Staff

Knowledgeable and committed staff:

  • CSCM centres value staff, professional development and research based contemporary practice;
  • the rights of the child are upheld in daily practice, routines, experiences and events;
  • current research and theory informs the early childhood curriculum;
  • staff are encouraged to work towards increasing their knowledge and skill through further education;
  • staff reflect on, evaluate and assess the appropriateness of the curriculum and daily practice ensuring true inclusion, authentic and meaningful experiences and worthwhile outcomes for each child;
  • staff, children and families engage in conversations about children and their progress throughout the year; and
  • staff and families learn from each other and respect the importance of their roles in children's learning and development.

The right to freedom of expression: this right shall include freedom to seek, receive and impart information and ideas of all kinds, regardless of frontiers, either orally, in writing or in print, in the form of art, or through any other media of the child's choice.
